Lect. univ. dr. Lavinia Cheie
Lavinia Cheie is a researcher at the Developmental Psychology Lab and a lecturer in typical and atypical developmental psychology, and legal psychology, respectively. Her main research interest regards the way memory and executive functioning are related to nonclinical and clinical anxiety during childhood. Most of her studies so far focused on the relationship between childhood anxiety and retrospective memory (working memory, long term memory, memory biases), the relationship between anxiety and executive functioning and its impact upon children’s academic performance, as well as on the associations between childhood anxiety and prospective memory. Domains of interest: typical and atypical developmental psychology, cognitive psychology, legal psychology

Lect. univ. dr. Lavinia Damian
Lavinia Damian-Ilea, PhD, works at the Department of Psychology, Babes-Bolyai University and at the Self and Identity Development Laboratory. Her longitudinal research focuses on personal and contextual antecedents of the development of perfectionism in adolescents, as well as on outcomes of perfectionism in different life domains and at different developmental stages. She is also interested in the consequences of parental perfectionism on the subjective experience and behaviors of parents, as well as on the socio-emotional and personality development of their adolescent children.

Lect. univ. dr. Renata Heilman
Renata M. Heilman has a PhD in Psychology and works at the Department of Psychology, Babes-Bolyai University. Dr. Heilman’s theoretical and empirical research in Behavioural Sciences explores individual differences in personality traits, emotions, emotion regulation strategies and personal values on various aspects of judgments and decision-making. Facets of the decision-making process that Dr. Heilman has investigated in recent years include situations that involve risk and ambiguity in decision-making, pro-social decisions, inter-temporal choices, gambling and bargaining tasks, as well as susceptibility to framing and other cognitive distortions involved in human decision-making process.

Lect. univ. dr. Lucia Rațiu
Lucia Ratiu is currently lecturer at the Department of Psychology, Babes-Bolyai University of Cluj-Napoca and member of the research group in the Work and Organizational Psychology. Her main research interests include the psychological determinants of performance in organizations, interventions for performance with particular interest in understanding the complex interface between individuals and the social organizational context and the role of coaching in promoting work and organizational health and performance at an individual and collective (group) level. She was member of several international project teams gaining a long research experience, having the possibility to experience the academic life in foreign universities which definitely contributed to the overall objective of meeting international standards in her academic work.

Claudia L. Rus is member of the Work and Organizational Psychology Research Center. Her teaching interests cover courses on Work and Personnel Psychology, Psychological Testing and Assessment in Organization, and Human Resources Management. Her main research interests include performance and learning in organizations, positive psychological capital. The interest for applied psychology in the field of work and organizations is reflected in her membership at prestigious national and international associations, such as Association of Industrial and Organizational Psychology (APIO), European Association of Work and Organizational Psychology (EAWOP), and International Association of Applied Psychology (IAAP).

Lect. univ. dr. Catrinel Alice Ștefan
My research interests stand at the intersection of educational psychology, developmental psychology and health psychology. I am mainly interested in investigating the relationship between social-emotional competencies, attachment and children’s risk for psychopathology. Furthermore, I am focused on applied research activities from developing assessment measures for evaluating children’s mental health status to designing and evaluating the effectiveness of prevention programs intended to reduce risk for emotional and behavioral problems in children and young adults. Also, my current interests are associated with health promotion activities and designing interventions for improving children’s coping with chronic illness. Contact address:
