My research interests stand at the intersection of educational psychology, developmental psychology and health psychology. I am mainly interested in investigating the relationship between social-emotional competencies, attachment and children’s risk for psychopathology. Furthermore, I am focused on applied research activities from developing assessment measures for evaluating children’s mental health status to designing and evaluating the effectiveness of prevention programs intended to reduce risk for emotional and behavioral problems in children and young adults. Also, my current interests are associated with health promotion activities and designing interventions for improving children’s coping with chronic illness.
