Stefan Voinea is pursuing his PhD at the Doctoral School of Applied Cognitive Psychology, under the coordination of prof. dr. Adriana Băban. His doctoral thesis explores the impact of mentorship interventions on the mental health of students at risk of school dropout. Stefan is also developing projects at the crossroads of technology, education, and psychology: an artificial intelligence-enabled virtual assistant for children with cancer; a helping network for families of children with serious conditions; and an early warning system software for school dropout prevention. Stefan is a 2019 Marshall Memorial Fellow, a 2011 U.S. Department of State CSP Fellow, and winner of the 2016 Romanian Google Editors Lab hackathon with the theme “New Ways to Cover Public Health Care”.
